General Alert tones were sounded for the report of a rollover with ejection on Rt. 22 East in front of the CVS Pharmacy on May 2nd at 21:04hrs. Sgt. Jon DeOliveira and President Steve Phillips responded in Rig 48-25. Upon arrival found a Ford Explorer on the lawn of the Stony Brook Carwash, severely crushed and a parked Hummer H2 limousine with damage to the right front passenger door and quarterpanel. One patient was found lying on gravel alert but disoriented. As per eyewitnesses, the patient was the driver of the Explorer who attempted to pass a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his truck, swerved hard right through a sign in the triangle median of Grove St, striking the curb and rolling several times, striking the parked limo and finally coming to a rest right side up. Patient was ejected from his vehicle mid roll and then proceeded to be rolled over by his own vehicle. NPRS and Mercy 6 transported the patient to Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center in New Brunswick for his injuries.
